How It All Started

Stephen Mikolas, the President and CEO of Kimmko, Inc., started his business career as a loan officer with Household International and after a year he was presented with an offer to work in Japan as a business liaison for a Japanese Entrepreneur and owner of 3,000 McDonald’s Restaurants.  He pursued the opportunity and spent three years in Tokyo.

In 1987 he returned to Florida and accepted a Property Management position in West Palm Beach.  Within a year he was promoted to Senior Property Manager and relocated to New York City to open a 500,000 square foot building in Times Square.  He spent the next ten years as the company’s Asset Manager, with 22 buildings under his supervision.  However, as his children grew older he felt a move home to Florida was in his family’s best interest.  He worked in West Palm Beach and managed several buildings over the next five years.  Stephen was presented with an opportunity to enter the Sales field for a local maintenance contractor.

He worked in various capacities for the company over the next six years mostly in sales and supported the operations and administration side of the company when needed.  In 2008 he was presented with an opportunity to start his own company.

Kimmko, Inc. provides Janitorial Services in office buildings, condominiums, schools and other facilities in addition to floor care services and day porter positions.

Founder and CEO, Stephen has been involved in janitorial services for nearly 15 years and almost 25 years in the real estate industry. He believes that personal service to his clients and their properties makes for satisfied customers.
